Thank you that’s interesting... the Sumatra photos do have a similar beak and look to the face. But it definitely doesn’t have a green sheen to it. But like you said, maybe it’s just a mutt. I’ll definitely will post update photos as it grows. I appreciate all the replies!

It's a chick with baby feathers. The sheen would come later.

Dang...I read way too much stuff it all gets jumbled up sometimes...lol I literally was just reading something last week about black chickens. Switzerland? Sweden? Ugghhhh...I can't for the life of me remember now. It had a two word name I think... When I jump out of bed at 3AM shouting the chicken name, I'll be sure to post it!

I think its a chicken. I think it has a cushion comb and you'll never see a big straight comb like you do some breeds.

It's head resembles a buzzard head to me. can't tell how big this chick is in picture, so hope it is a chicken and not a buzzard. Hum..

Maybe @R2elk can tell us if this is a turkey poult or chicken. I'm not sure what it is. He probably knows birds better than most of us.
