Is this a roo or a pullet?

She was NOT following that rule "perfectly." And she was not "simply explaining," she was dismissive and rude. Look, we all have only our OPINION and GUESTIMATE to what the breed is. My opinion is no more or less than hers or anyone else's. There was no reason for her to be abrupt. I haven't been on here for a long time. I guess now I know why....
I’m sorry you took offense in her comment, however...
You were incorrect about the breed, and she corrected that. Not snidely, mockingly, crudely, imprudently, or harshly. Merely, simple and to the point. We have no problem with neutral remarks here on BYC - because, although it would be fun, I agree - unfortunately not everyone is bursting with rainbows at every moment.
It’s not a matter of opinions. The chicken is one breed - not two different ones, based on people‘s opinions. It was not a Silver Spangled Hamburg. That much is clear.

My post was abrupt because I was in a rush. I’m sorry you took it the wrong way, and I did not intend to offend you. I do apologize, and hopefully that does not happen again.

Guys... I think they get it now. No need to gang up on them and continue on about it. They thought she was being rude; she clarified that she wasn’t trying to be and apologized. Let’s move on and not blame them for being upset by it. Especially cause, frankly, Chicken was a little bit blunt, even if she didn’t mean to be, and I can see where someone who didn’t know her well might misinterpret that especially given tone is hard to read online. But it’s over so no need to continue this further.
