Very pretty chicken!! I don't know sebrights enough to tell hen vs rooster, but so cute.

Just FYI, "poor quality" can sound derogatory or like your chicken is defective, but that's not what it means...just means she wouldn't win any medals at a chicken show, since her appearance isn't 100% in line with the "breed standard." Like if your poodle had a great granny who was a lab mix - still a fantastic and beautiful dog, but unlikely to win "best in show" at a purebred competition.

You probably knew that, but wanted to make sure you knew how people mean it around here.

Thanks for that explanation! I compete with my retrievers in AKC performance events - and the field dogs aren't to the show standards...but they're Master Hunters

What I really need to know is if you think it's a girl or a boy. And if it's too early to tell, about when will it be evident? I don't care what breed it is - it's pretty and it's a pet - but I appreciate the breed suggestions since we know zip/nada. We rescued it and it has a pretty nice lifestyle at our house. I don't intend to breed or show - just enjoy
