Is this a roo?

This baby was Born on June 9th making him/her a couple days shy of 14 weeks. Mom is a light brahma and dad is a green easter egger. We really thought we had a pullet early on but now I am really doubting that. I thought I was starting to see saddle feathers but was unable to get a good pic of those with such light coloring.

I was soooooo afraid you were going to say that. LOL He would make our 3rd in a flock with 23 hens. Guess I will have to wait and see if the roos can all get along.

Pretty sure I can see the pointy saddles also... I would agree cockerel.

I love the blue and silver coloration! With that little red leakage, I'd bet he might throw some pretty babies.

Definitely a cockerel. I have 3 roos, 18 hens, 8 pullets and 3 cockerels. It's possible to keep 3 roos with your hens. Truly does depend upon the roos personalities. The new crew is 15 weeks and 7 weeks. Still under evaluation.

We are absolutely in love with him. I am sooo hoping that we can get him to get along with our other 2 roos. He is the result of the only egg our broody hen hatched this year.
