Is this a rooster??

So I have this Easter Egger that i bought from a hatchery and after 3.5 months we have noticed how he/she is a lot bigger and looks a lot like a rooster. He/ she stands 2-3 inches taller than the female EasterEgger that we bought. The tail is abit curvier like a roo as well.

Red shoulders, saddle feathers, hackle feathers.....yup all boy.

Cockerel for sure. He has pointed saddle feathers which are male specific and male colouring. Hatchery sexing isn’t always 100%.

Quite sure. Goofups on sexing happen quite often, more so than most folks realize. The proof is in the pudding so to speak, his saddle and hackles are the giveaway.

At best hatchery vent sexing is somewhere around 90 % accurate. There is no possibility that he is anything but a cockerel.

Oh ok thanks guys not sure what to do now either we sell him or no crow collar. Does the collar always work, like will he be super quiet. I’ve seen it work perfectly in YouTube but I don’t know if it’s true.

If you cannot have him try rehoming him. The collars do not work very well. Just curious, laws forbid it or personal preference on getting rid of him?
