Is this a snake hole or mouse hole?

I went out today and saw this hole at my chicken coop..I don't remember seeing it before today though...its burrowed underneath...any ideas? Also if it is a snake can i buy a mouse glue board to leave at the outside hole to catch the snake/mouse? Thanks.

If you have a game camera, put it up and see what comes out or goes in. Could be rats. We had a pretty good sized den in our sorghum so I put a camera out there to find out what it was. It was a gopher tortoise.

I don't know the answers to the questions you've asked. I do have a suggestion, however. If something can burrow under & get into the coop/run area, you may want to consider extending that hardware cloth into the dirt a ways. And I would pop a couple of mothballs down the hole & see what happens. Kinda like a varmint eviction notice. I throw used coffee grounds down the holes all over my yard, too.

They look like rodent burrows. If you install a predator apron, that will put an end to it.

And I would pop a couple of mothballs down the hole & see what happens.

A varmint got into my car's ventilation system and built a nest. The car dealer guy told me to secure a small bag of mothballs under the hood and that would keep them away.

I think it is a chipmunk hole. I have some that look the same ( in my garden) and I saw a chipmunk run out of my garden, plus something has been helping itself to some of my produce. I could be wrong though. Let us know if you figure it out.

Is that 1/4" or 1/2" HC? No matter what dug that hole, others will use it.

If rodents are prolific, burying the apron ~12" would be good.

Coffee grounds seem to be detested by the moles, voles, mice & chipmunks in my yard. I don't know if it's the smell, taste, how acidic it makes the soil, any of the above or all of the above.
