I bought this 40 lb. bag of DE at the feed store and forgot to make sure its food grade... and i dont know what food chemical codex grade means... so your opinions please??? :)))

If you purchased it at a feed store I would say, yes...If you got it at a pool supply store I would say, no. If you got it at a hardware store I would say that it's a toss up.

If it is white I would say, no. If it is tan I would say, yes...

PS: I just looked it up, food chemical codex grade is food grade. They call it food chemical codex grade instead of just food grade because some fools were eating it...

And I think mine is white
I read that if it is white then it is not natural. It's made mainly for filtration systems. The tan or brown is natural...

But I thought you could eat it? (not that I want to :o)
It may not be poison but may give you stomach problems. Remember chickens don't have stomachs...

well i found that the food chemical codex grade is just another name for food grade and its the same kind of thing that people eat

I also have DE that is white, it is for human consumption. Not that I would eat. It is made from fresh water crustacean
