yep we all do, but she can't SSS the neighbor.

Before I get pm's see below.

I am with WriterofWords. I personally would send him a copy by certified mail, so that you know he received the document. That way, you do not have to enter onto his property, and him end up filing charges for harassment. I would inform him that I was going to kill his dog, or anything that could back fire on you.

I would not allow him to keep placing his marks on your property, I do know in Oklahoma, that if you put up a fence wether you have less or more, after 7 years, it becomes your property, if the owners do not do anything about it.

can you put up one of those webcams that is motion activated, after all a picture is worth a thousand words, By the way I'M one of those old people, but I agree with you. Send the notice without your impressions and sent it registered where he has to sign to get it. My GS just shot some cats and a dog that was eating his Gianinas, had them in their mouth and I was the only one that agrees with him, his house, his birds, his gun, no dogs. Its summer and my dogs are to lazy to get out in the sun unless shoved out the door and made to stay out. But the chickens and guianas walk all over them and they all ignore them. marrie

around here, it is legal to shoot attacking dogs, however, you better have a license ,FOID card in your possession (firearms owner identificatin card). most farmers will give one warning. then the dog usually just "dissapears". if it should make it home injured, that is a whole new can of worms unless you can document with pictures and witnesses the dog was pursueing with the intent to kill. i am not a lawyer, just know of situations around here. chill out and be patient, the dog will be back, have all your ducks in a row and be ready.

what is the purpose of the card? i didn't know you had to have a permit to own a regular firearm... pistols yes, but does that include shotguns and rifles?

Be careful! We just bought our new house and were so excited...until we met the neighbors. I had put the sprinkler on the berry patch in the corner of my backyard and not 10 minutes later my neighbor knocked on my door. She said quite snarky "You're drowning my strawberries" I was a bit taken back so I mumbled "um okay". She then stormed into my back yard and turned off my sprinkler. I called my dh and he said lock the gate between our yards, so that's what I did. The next morning he knocked on our door at 6:45 in the morning, we live in the city so we didn't realize there was a 6:45 in the morning
tongue.png
Needless to say we didn't answer the door so he (before 7 am) cut the lock off with a grinder and then welded and bolted a new metal lock around the gate

Crazy Right? So I talked to the wife and went with the kill them with kindness method, said sorry for any misunderstanding blah blah and she was a total cow! She said "sorry I touched your precious lawn" in the most grump tone
rant.gif
and I told her it wasn't the lawn it was the boundry she crossed, trespassing is a crime. So they killed our "precious" lawn. Yup we have a toddler, birds, cat, dog and they dumped poison along 150' of our property line. Killed everything within 1.5' of the fence. Psycho's!

Just be careful. and good luck. Remember crazy people do crazy things.

DAMN!!!!

Where I live you can shoot humans for that...Its called the "Make My Day Law" . If someone is trespassing, you have to ask them to leave once. If they don't you just blow them off the lawn( they dont even have to chase the chickens). Still I must be getting to be an old softie, because I haven't yet tried it out.

Anyhoo seems a bit drastic on their part. Did you have any recourse with the law?
