Is this Sweet rooster’s behavior normal?

He sounds like a wonderful rooster! After having many roosters, the ones that are more attentive to their girls are just so pleasant to have around. I have two boys that take a lot of pride in fixing the nest and getting it perfect for their ladies.

It's normal behavior -- just like a human man househunting, he's in there saying "Honey, I've found a good one here. What do you think?"

Oh - he's probably just getting the nest all pretty for his girls. Normal behavior, as far as I know. Not related at all to the feed.

Feed your flock all flock/ flock raiser or chick feed with oyster shell on the side for the hens to take as needed.

When you have a good one, you no longer can understand why someone would keep a rotten one. When he gets some age on him, raise up some chicks under him, cause they will often be better roosters because of him.

I think the rotten ones are there to make sure we don’t take the good ones for granted…
