normally i roll my eyes at the politicians that run but donald trump is one of the people that I do not know in real life that i truly dislike. I don't know why he bugs me. I don't watch him enough to really get a full feel of his personality and usually people are different in real life than they are on tv. but that's just my feeling.

I think most of us would agree that the federal budget needs to
be brought under control.

I personally don't think simply raising the debt ceiling is the best answer.
We as familys need to live within our budgets, and so should our nation.

Cuts? Start in the right place...cut needless federal positions and goofy
saleries.

This is the first time in my life and I am 51 years old that:

I didn't get a tax refund and actually owed Income taxes.

That I am starting to investigate where food pantrys are- haven't had to go YET.

I can't afford gas in the trucks. I can't visit with our grand daughters because their parents can't spare the gas and neither can we, to transport 17 miles.

I had to sell all my beloved horses and my mule, can not afford them..... First time I have ever been without horses, since I was 2 years old.

Have sold about half my chickens.

I was unable to rescue the dumped animals and can't afford to take them to the pound. Next month I won't be able to feed them. They are feral and trying to tame them so I can rehome them. 2 craigslist ads with no takers. Forget Vet visits, except for our pets.

First year ever that I can't afford to run my central air and heat. Run 1 window unit in one bedroom.

First month I EVER had to choose to make the house payment or buy groceries.

First time I ever had a gun in the pawn shop that we lost.

We have NEVER had less in our pantry.

We have NEVER had less in our freezer.

Dh worked 33 years and then retired. Now can't find a good paying job to save his life. We both have part time work at a bed and breakfast. People can't afford to stay. No stay, no pay!

I could go on and on with our situation but I would just start crying.

I VOTED, SO I CAN COMPLAIN! THIS IS DEFINATELY CHANGE (I DID NOT VOTE FOR) THAT I CAN"T STAND MUCH MORE OF!

I'm just a dumb old country boy, but I think you could walk down most any street in America and pick out someone at random, make them President, and you'd have as good or better than any we've had in a long time or better than I expect to see in the near future.

Is there a clause somewhere that states it's a requirment you must have zero common sense to be our National leader? Don't get me wrong, we've had some very intelligent leaders when it comes to book learning, but where is what Pa called "Common horse sense"?

Wanna settle the budget? It's the easiest thing in the world. Just like in any household in America, spend less than you make and you are not in debt and can save a few pennies. Spend more than you make and soon you are in debt and you are bankrupt.

Tired of all the party bickering, fighting, name calling and finger pointing? Personally I'd lock them in the chambers and say you can come out when you do your job and get this mess straightened out. I just betcha once they missed a few meals those fat boys would start finding some common ground.

Most things are only as complicated as you make them.

but like I said, I'm just an uneducated country boy.

The cost of war to the US. http://costofwar.com/en/ And that's just Iraq and Afghanistan. Now we also have Pakistan, Libya and Syria.

We need to stop these bogus wars on terrorism. They are being fought for oil and empire. We can't afford them.

Control the military industrial complex that Eisenhower warned against, and bring the troops home. The budget will be brought under control a lot faster than stealing from senior citizens and the taxpayers.

Then there are the banksters. US Taxpayers Just Paid $780 Million To Fund The Latest Greece Bailout Tranche. http://www.zerohedge.com/article/us...80-million-fund-latest-greece-bailout-tranche

People wanted change and if they're anything like us, that's about all we have left in our pockets...
