I like some of Pauls stuff too. Like I've said before. It would be nice to grind them all up and make sausage. Everyone has some good points. They all have some bad points too. None of them are actually clueless. They just don't want to do what they know is right. There needs to be a lot of cuts in spending programs. That 282 every 3 months for foster kids in her state is stupid. In our state the clothing allowance was part of the monthly subsidy. When you adopt a child you get Medicaid unless the child has severe problems. Then you have to fight to get even 50% of what they pay you as a foster parent. Social workers start at about 22k. For that they put their life at risk probably more than a cop sometimes. I forget who said they keep kids in the system to keep more social workers on board but that's BS. There's actually a law that they must be placed in an adoptive home or back to bio parents in 2 years. It doesn't always work that way but it's supposed to.

Yeah politics is all about staying in office. The dems do what they need to keep their base happy. The pubs do what they need to keep the corporations rich and donating money. I often wonder if they even care as long as the votes come in. I know some really do care biy it's pretty discouraging.

I have no doubt they will do something in time. It's going to be the same as the government shut down threat. Since 911 it's been one be afraid be very afraid moment after another. Gotta keep the country in the ditch no matter what the cost. I'm not afraid of their latest threats. I'm afraid of whats going to happen in the long run. If they don't get some manufacturing back to the USA we'll be another political experiment that failed.

When that happens and the US government cannot roll over it's debt, the only choices are to default or run the printing presses. That means inflation just like in Germany in 1923. Yeah Congress should take a cut. You can't cut out AF1. For security reasons. They should make Congress ride commercial though and cut their budgets. I received a flyer the other day from the congressman that represents my district. It was basically an ad for him touting what he wants to do. It had a statement on it saying that it was paid for with tax dollars and had free postage. We shouldn't have to pay for what amount to campaigning. They have all sorts of crud like that going on. Obama talks about using a scalpel instead of an ax. They need to get those scalpels out. They also need a line item veto.

Don't panic. They have the money to issue chks. Another crisis that can't go to waste. But the bottom line is that they pilfered the coffers for other important projects like shrimp treadmills and turtle tunnels. Truth be known there is not one polititian who is worth the gun powder to put their a** in orbit. I know more people with less education who are alot more intelligent with common sense. Personally I don't need the government to take care of me.

If you ask me political parties ruin this country. People are so prideful and self centered, greed is ruining this country and everyone is fully aware of it. I don't know if this country will ever be right again, well I can't say that it ever was. I may be considered an idiot by most, but I know things are about to change, and it doesn't look pretty. It's sad when you see someone who can't work be denied disability and then see someone on it because they're depressed. At some point this government will collapse and we'll have one of the biggest messes in history to clean up if it's even possible.

In 08 we voted to change the guard. In 10, the nation didn't guard the chance, local did. Now, local is whiny, but work is getting done. I am voting for Obama in 12, because I like what he has gotten done until people got insane in 10.
