Is this too much protein for a duck?

I used to feed my ducklings chick starter but I think they were a bit slower to grow. I can’t really remember.
The higher protein will make them grow faster, that's for sure. The chick starter from the company that makes your turkey starter says it's okay for ducklings, so if you are worried about the protein, just get a bag of it:

Muscovies tend to grow slower - if that is what you had before - that could be why.
I did an experiment with Muscovies in the brooder being fed 27% protein and a bunch of broody raised. The broody raised spent most of the day off foraging for bugs and what not and weren't all that interested in the feed I put out. The brooder raised ones grew twice as fast!

No, I didn't and definitely should have :oops:. Another one that would be fun would be to compare the weights of three groups, turkey starter, chick starter, and broody raised.
