I will post a pic!!!

I am going to feed her her parrot food, and see how that goes...any advice on that??

I had a young silkie I was sure had died overnight. I picked her up and she was cold and stiff, no sign of life. It had gotten cold over night and she was battling a bout with worms. I dug the hole, stroked her gentaly and put her in the hole. Suddenly I saw an eye blink! I scooped her up and put her under a heat lamp in the house then went out to finish feeding, knowing she would have died when I got back in. To my surprise she had jumped out of her box and was walking around the floor picking at chick starter she had spilled. I guess they are not dead until they are warm and dead!

There's dead and then there's Monty Python's "mostly dead" or wait, was that Princess Bride??

O.K. I'm showing my age.

She would not be alive without all the help from you awesome peeps at BYC!!!!

Food update:
I tried the parrot food, but she seemed way more into the electrolites (pedia).
She is currently standing while sleeping, and whenever I try to handle her to give her water or food she can't wait to push through me and try to fly out...it is good thing she hasn't done that yet, as she is still very weak.

GREAT JOB. What an amazing story. From the first pics she sure does look dead. Looks like she'll make it now. Keep up the good work. Try feeding her scrambled egg - it's high in proteins and vitamins and they LOVE it once they've tried it. Again, amazing.

she dosn't seem to have a very good appetite yet, she doesn't have the idea that I am trying to feed her. I hope she gets it soon.

I have pumped her full of water, and pedialite...and tried a little parrot food.

QUESTION: should I wake up tonight during the night to feed and water her?

Leave food and water in whatever cage you have her in. She may feel up to eating on her own. You can wet down/moisten the chick feed to make it easier to eat and leave a little scrambled egg in there as well.

Has she eaten anything on her own yet? If not, I would at least check on her every couple of hours. Have you been hand feeding water all day or has she started drinking on her own?

currently I am doing everything for her. I put the parrot food down in a bowl in her kennel and she fell right into it while trying to escape. I will leave water in there tonight. and I can try food too..

she can eat normal chick feed again already????
