Isa's Homestead Happenings and Hangout

I had a stacked unit one time that was a top load washer. So, your brain is still gone, but they do make them, or at least did. Now, use your gone brain to figure out how that can be done.
I need a stool to reach my dryer now! I would legit fall into a top loader if it was on top of a dryer. Hubby would come home and find my legs sticking out🤣

It has been about 14 years since I had it so I can’t remember it if was built as one unit. I don’t think it was but it did share a back, so it either came that way which would have been awkward to move or you fastened together on install. I also remember angled sides coming down from the bottom of the dryer on each side that served as braces. There was enough room between dryer and washer to open the lid of the washer and load and unload. It was smaller capacity but not tiny.

That's one unit then. Not a fan of those because they are smaller and if one needs repaired, you can't use the other
