I do have another Gardenia that is a few feet from this one that blooms later, though. Might be a different kind of Gardenia, can’t remember

Mine is not as well established and it could probably use a little more sun. Started it from a cutting and haven't really found its home in the yard.

Well I tried to incubate 50 eggs and I finally got one to hatch

Yea, she does look sad. I never have thought they were impressive. I don’t pay her much mind. They bloom for a short period of time. Seems like more than once a year, though. It does have new leave sprouting out, but you may not can see them in the picture.It also has dead leaves from last year that if I paid her attention I would get off.
Here is the other one that hasn’t bloomed yet and it has new leave growth

It might be good to prune them both down and get a new start
