There are I seent them. There's also bald eagles by. I don't remember the name of the place it's condos at the edge of city park where voodoo fest used to be. I think it's a place for older folks but not technically an assisted living place. Had a fire there a couple years agoTHAT will keep you on your toes!
We even get them in the city. I'm told they're are even suppose to be eagles in City Park about 6 blocks away.
Esplanade at City Park. (Did some work in there about 100 years ago). There are I seent them. There's also bald eagles by. Yeah thats it, the esplanade. Hanging at the house today. Made a lil food and watching the indy 500. Go number 06Esplanade at City Park. (Did some work in there about 100 years ago).
There is a lot going on in that park that few know about. It's larger than Central Park in Manhatten. Besides the squirrels and ducks everyone knows about, they have coyotes and wild hogs (and feral chickens). They don't even try to capture alligators until they get to 5-6'.
The "Dueling Oaks" are in the corner your talking about. The City limits used to be at Metarie Bayou, now the ponds along the south end of the park. Dueling was illegal, but if you were outside the city, they turned a blind eye. I'll bet people weren't so easily offended when you had to literally put some skin in the game.
