We had an accident while we were on vacation. A snow storm hit stronger than anticipated, it damaged my coop and run. A predator got in and killed my 8 month old Light Brahma pullet. I have an 8 month old Light Brahma rooster who is very lonely.

If anybody in Virginia has a pullet or young hen or two for sale, that would be great. I have no interest in showing or heavy breeding (if at all), I just want a hen or two that have good temperament, would be company for my rooster, and produce eggs every so often.

Thanks in advance.

If you are still interested, I have a RIR, will be 1 yr old in Feb. She's a good layer, though not laying right now due to shorter days. She needs a roo. She's a bit of a bully with two of my hens and a good roo would keep her in her place. I can't have roos where I live, which BTW, is in Staunton. Will give her away if you can come get her.
