Me too. I've got wheaten and blue wheaten (not great quality, but very obviously true) and one EE, (Ameraucana x Australorp) so she has dark eyes that look kinda cool. She's young yet, so still waiting for green eggs. (I hope. All my Ameraucanas lay blue, yes.) By sometime March we should get some eggs to hatch from our wheatens. (Some will be EEs, not separated for very long.)I've got both and they're both good chickens. The EE is much nicer than the ameracuna and less sneaky mean. Both lay beautiful eggs and unless you have both side by side you're hard pressed to find a difference. Personally I think EE hens are more interesting just due to the range they can actually be. Bea looks like a buff Orpington with muffs and a beard while Susan looks pretty much like every other ameracuna. I just like them weird i guess.![]()
