It’s getting cold here! Ducks absolutely will NOT use their house!

Having a fence around the dog house will make it safer also. Maybe a cover of some kind of fencing over top to keep out climbing predators It will have to be secured real well too.

There is already a fence.. buts like around the whole backyard. I will hopefully figure something out. Lol thank you!

both mind and a friends muscovies have refused to come back to the coop at night for the last month. Both flocks come eat during the day and then return to their stock ponds at night. There is NO convincing then to come back.

Mine come back at dark. They’re smart little things.

Would something like this work just for night time?? I only have 4 ducks that’ll use it.
Would probably have to help them in and out?? I don’t know...

This is the kind of doghouse we have... so I’m not sure if it’d work... I’d have to help them in and out it looks like. But as long as they are out of the cold it should be okay for the night.

If you make a wide ramp they may get use to using it if they don't like the ramp you can pick them up and put them inside they will come down the ramp in the mornings once they get use to it. Slope the ramp so it isn't so steep too.
