Speaking of messes... I spilled a half bag of pine shavings in my mudroom today. I have video evidence of the disaster... but in cute duckling form.

I grabbed 3 of the babies out of their brooder while I started cleaning the shavings because they were trying to get to me... and they followed me around in a ducky-line the entire time like I was their mother. :hit:love

OH NO! But that is just the cutest!!!!!! I swear this is the reason my daughter wants ducklings. haahaa.

yes we got hammered!!!!! everyone I have talked to is doing good thankfully. We got about 30-34" hard to say with the huge snow drifts. Hope your friends made out well. are they on the East coast where we got slammed? My area seems to be in the jackpot area for most of the storms that hit the east coast of MA. LOL
They are toward the top of Rhode Island, so a bit off the coast but definitely not western mass. They are doing ok. ❤️

This is the cutest thing ever! No way the town would let us have ducks, but my aunt told my other aunt if she could get the pond at the farm going again and get duck housing, she would get ducks! (Fingers crossed, I’m the baby brooder so I would have them for 4 weeks!) Probably wouldn’t be til next year, but I’m going to be busy w the chicks this summer anyway. 😊

Here is a pic from this morning

Good grief!!! You really got it bad. Don't forget to take care of yourself while caring for the chickens!
I had to work today so my husband shoveled out the covered part of the run and raked it over to cover any remaining snow. He said Itzy poked his head out then back in and made a lot of noise and then Annabelle peeked out and then they came out. haahaa! He also got the roof cleaned off and the HWC of the other section. He is definitely a keeper. And he got my cameras running (the GFI tripped so their water heater wasn't working either) so that I could see them. :) It was SOOOOOOOOO hard yesterday not being able to see them to be sure they were ok. I didn't think of the GFI since it still had a green light on.... now I know better. LOL

But they are all happy and doing well. so I am happy that we made it through that with no issues so far. and Hummer laid again today. :)
