Order forms are in and they have a few they didn't have last year but less of a selection it seems. And only chicks every other week not every week. Now more confused on what I want. LOL There is the feed store near me that has what I want the weeks I would need but I won't be able to get there early am like you have to since they are first come first serve and a min of 6 and I only need 2-3 from them. Trying to find someone that is getting some the same week I need that lives near me and will get them for me.

I wanted to order 6-8 and keep 2 that I hatch (was going to get a couple of some breeds in case I got a roo or one got sick and died and if all pullets then I would just rehome extra but not sure if I want to do that or not).

But here is my list so far:

Buff Brahma, Olive egger, EE, Blue rock (after seeing MochaLatte's. :) ), Lavender Orpington maybe but they aren't the week of April 15th instead they are the 29th and not sure I want to wait till then, but if I hatch then that may work better and may be better to brood outside even though it is only 2 weeks difference.......) So if all single then 5-6 from here depending on the Marans...

then from other store:

Cream Legbar (want soooooooo bad!!!!!!!), Sicilian Buttercup (my daughter wants it but I don't really).

debating on a Marans. But I like black copper Marans which they do have at the other store. "My" store only has Noir Marans or Black sex link Marans.....

So if I do the Orpington and Marans that is 8 different breeds. As I said before I should only add 8 total to my coop for 4 sq ft per chicken.... But the run can handle more and so far this year besides the day of the blizzard they are only in the coop to sleep so do I push it and add 10??? then I can order the 8 different ones and keep 2 I hatch.....

I also wanted to add a couple of EE and can't do that if I get all of them, and wanted to add another Salmon Faverolle and again can't if I do all 8 of them......

Ugh decisions decisions........ Help me out! LOL

I will be getting these breeds this year.
1. ISA brown
2. Blue laced gold wyandotte
3. Buff orpington or lavendar orpington
4. Welsummer
5. Blue splashed silkie.
My easter egger was the sweetest and just started fighting there is 3 birds in the coop right now. Andthey all have 6.2 sq ft when there are five birds so not sure why she started fighting. So i am going to get rid of the 3 i have and start fresh so that i can prevent the bullying this time around.

oh wow. Mine all get along well right now, but there is also 8 in a 64 sq ft coop and a 208sq ft run. But you can normally find them all hanging out together even in the run or when I let them out to free range. Hoping that doesn't change once I add more chicks in there!

They were all the same age. I had just tried letting her out of her cage and she started attacking again. This time she tried attacking me. She was just the nicest bird i dont know what happened. Although our backdoor neighbor has shot things at our garage or they are trying to shoot the chickens with something. I dont know if that would cause it now there is tarps up so they cant see the chickens.

I love black copper marans!! I don't have any but have heard they are great chickens! Brahmas are definitely my favorite chicken breed I don't have any of those but am hoping to get some this year! EE are great I have a few of those! They lay the most beautiful green eggs and are amazing layers! If I ft more chickens this year I will get brahmas and EE!!

I have 2 light Brahmas. Ordered a buff brahma last year but they didn't come in so ended up with the 2 light. I raised buff Brahmas growing up so they have a special spot in my heart. I have 1 EE right now, had 2 but 1 was a roo. She lays extremely pale blueish/green eggs.

you should get black copper marans, Sicilian buttercup ( for your daughter!) Because don't you need to get breeds your kids want?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 and you should get buff brhamas! And "accidentally" order four ducklings!😂😂😂😂
