Oh and my roo was in the box again today showing 2 of my girls, that aren't even close to laying, a good place to lay. I got a couple snapshots from my cam. Not the best pics but still funny.

Nope, BCM hasn't started yet... she was in the coop and I test-placed her into a nest box gently.... . . she ran outta there like she got electrocuted LOL. However, my buff orp has been acting highly sus. She goes into the coop a LOT this week... today she even went into a nest box and scratched around. I discovered that she has 2+ finger separation which surprised me - she might be next!!!Has your BCM laid yet? I know you had a few laying but wasn't sure if she was one. I checked Annabelle and MarshmallowS pelvic bones today today and Annabelle still seemed close but Marshmallow seemed further apart.

He is really so sweet! And such a gentleman with the ladies. I read non stop how young roos were so hard on the ladies and mating them non stop all day long. The only time I ever saw feather fly from the ladies was before they were ready to mate and he would try. They would freak out and run away while he was holding on. Now he is very gentle and in a week I only catch him mating the 2 girls laying a few times. I am not out there 24/7 but out a lot. And he is good with us.I love this. How cute!!! He is being such a good roo!![]()
