IT HAPPENED!!!

I forgot to turn the light on tonight at 6 to go off at 7 so I peeked and 4 were roosting, 3 on floor and Annabelle in the nest box.. . So I went out to take her out and turned the light on low for 15 min. I put Annabelle on the roost but the other 3 went up on their own. Here is a pic I took when I was in there of them all being big girls (and boy. Lol )

Cuties! Maybe Annabelle will get the hint and stay on the roost area!

I sure hope she does! She was the 3rd one to start roosting when that temp roosting bar (that is in front of my main one) was put in their cuddle puddle spot so I thought for sure she would be one of the first to start again once I moved that bar........ guess I was wrong. she is holding out in protest of it being moved. hahaaa! She really just has a mind of her own and does her own thing. I put her on the big bar one other time hoping she would get it but may she will start now that all the others are and I moved her tonight.

I checked her pelvic bones again and they still seem close even though her comb is showing she is close to laying....... marshmallows still felt like it had a decent size space so maybe she will lay soon! I had a talk with them today and told them it wasn't fair for them to depend on their sisters to lay so many eggs to make up for them slacking so they best get a move on with laying. haahaa!..

Nugget FINALLY took a break after her 7 eggs in a row.

But as usual she went into the nest box around 8:20 this morning. Well at 8:40 Hummer peeked in the coop and saw her so left. Then just before 9 went in and impatiently walked around waiting for that box. She left again after about 10 min. then about 5 min later came back in and decided to just go in the box next to the one Nugget was in. LOL They will use 2 out of 3 of my boxes.......

Nugget was in there until 9:45ish!!!!! Came out singing the loudest egg song I think she has ever sang....... and yes she didn't even lay an egg!!!!!!! haahaa! Hummer didn't get out until 10:15 so could have waited. I think she just waited to even lay until Nugget was out of the coop. haahaa.

Oh my gosh, they are so funny. This is even better because I just had the same thing happen! Our Nuggets are connected in mind my Nugget was in the nest box for 2 hours... Moon waited patiently for 30 minutes and then hopped in the box to her left. Nugget finally left, singing her song... no egg. Moon stayed in her box for another 20 minutes before leaving.... No egg. These girls are pulling my strings today hahaha. However... Zoingo, Speedy and Sunny all laid around 8am!

That is too funny on moon and Nugget!!! Lol. And Zoingos eggs always shock me. They look huge!!!! You must be getting tons of eggs with 5 laying
