I have 2 light Brahmas. Such pretty girls. How old are yours? I agree with Mocha that I would think they would start to lay again in the next couple weeks.

Wooo hoooo!!!! OMG! I am Soo excited for you! Glad they chose not to wait for Annabelle!!!! I bet the rest of yours will all start with in the next couple of days! What a beautiful egg! Funny how much more oval it is now. Can't wait to see what her next couple look like.

I could hardly believe it. I saw on the camera that she had been in the box for almost an hour and when she left the coop I ran out there like a spaz. Then once I was in the coop I looked in that nest box last because I was scared it was gonna be empty lol. I have looked at that egg so much today. It's literally like the first egg all over again.

I had to re-home one of my chicks because it turned out to be a rooster. Well I ask for updates and pics every so often and got a pic today. Omg he is so beautiful!!! Wish I could have kept both but I couldn't.

He really is! Has lots of ladies to protect and love and a nice big area. I am so glad that he got a good home. All my babies were so special. I fell in love with his coloring and was so sad when "she" turned out to be a he. Hoping next year to get a pullet with similar coloring to him. I am so lucky that the guy that took him was willing to send me updates. I have to ask but he always answers, I am sure I drive him nuts but I make sure to only ask every mo or every other month so I don't drive him too crazy. haahaa!

Annabelle did the same as yesterday so gave me nothing exciting. LOL I think I am going to die of excitement the first time she really goes in the box for more than a minute! LOL

Oh ya, I bet she will be back into the egg rhythm in no time!

Maybe it actually makes him feel like he has the most special roo alive! He sure is pretty. If I had a roo like that I would love to show him off at every chance!

I hope that what he feels like. He seems to like him and said he was sweet so that is good. He was a bit of a jerk to the others when he was here. haahaa!!!!!!!! But think where he was dominant my other roo ended up nicer because of him since he stayed laid back and showed NO roo tendencies until after Dolphin was gone. LOL Which was pretty funny since we KNEW Itzy was a roo at 4 weeks. We didn't even question Dolphin until 8-9 weeks besides being dominant and having bigger legs, but no comb really to speak of till then. (he has cheeks and a beard so doesn't really have wattles)

LMAO Ninja Annabelle! She definitely doesn't want me to know when to expect it that is for sure! But hey they say when wattles and comb get red it is with in a couple weeks......... Hers changed like 6 weeks ago. I even posted on here and asked what people thought and they said they thought she was ready. haahaa. So the squatting will probably end up the same and it will be another 6+ weeks. LMAO!

Was he just really really red/comb developed by 4 weeks?? I knew our first Bluebell was a roo at that time because of the coloration/patterning already and he was really red.
