IT HAPPENED!!!

Maybe Annabelle is getting closer. She was in the nest box settled in for about 4 min. I was getting so excited. Then had to stop watching to check something else and went back in and she was out. Was only in for 4-5 min. Ugh she is such a tease!!!

YESSS!!! when my girls started playing in the nest boxes they laid the next day!!! GO ANNABELLE!!!

Goldie, the Gold-Laced Wyandotte, is now our newest layer!

Today, at 28 weeks and 2 days old... she laid her first egg, weighing 37g. Zoingo had laid in her favorite box first. Then, Speedy hopped into the same box right after.

Goldie decided that Speedy must know what she's doing... so she hopped into the box with her and they both laid eggs! Here is Goldie and her first little egg.

Nugget laid her 6th egg in a row today and think she found some of Blackie's toner. Lol a pic of her egg today then yesterday's, how they normally look, next to todays

WOW!!!! What a beautiful egg, Miss Nugget! Those are such pretty speckles... like a little egg-galaxy. That's so funny how she just threw some on there today - I love it!

How awesome and what perfect eggs you have!!!!

I'm so excited to be getting eggs again. Blackie & Dottie laid eggs in a nest together this morning as well. Blackie's egg is a really pretty color, darker than it has been! Dottie's egg is slightly bigger than yesterday again.

Brittany went into 3 nest boxes and then still made her own nest and laid in the under-roost corner again... the teenager pullets ate it

I was hoping for the first egg today for my birthday, too late in the day I am sure. BUT....The OverEZ coop was put together this morning. Charlotte went in the new coop to explore and went in each nest box. The others had no interest.
