They will most probably have some next spring also. Which would be much more convenient and way easier to raise them.
It's too late now... there is a brooder set up in my back room with a 2 day old golden comet and 4 day old chocolate orpington sleeping quietly 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Edit to say: I got the golden comet to be friends with the baby orpington, but I'm not sure if she will make it. Most of her bin-mates were DOA from the mail. I've made some nutri-drench water and hoping it will help her!

oops I was too late to help. haahaa!!!!! If my husband worked anywhere that had baby chicks I don't think he would let me visit him at work. :lau:lau:lau

I want new ones so bad but don't want to have to deal with introductions a bunch of times so just waiting till next year and will add mine to fill up my coop. Then I will be sad after that since my coop will be full and I won't be able to add more. haahaa!!!!!!!!!

hope the baby orpington makes it! poor baby! if it doesn't you are going to have to get one more to be friends with the golden comet. LOL

The Orpington is doing well... its the sad little Golden comet that is struggling. She seems slightly more lively and still chirps but doesn't stand up... I dipped her beak to drink the nutridrench water a few times more and she drinks it but doesn't do it on her own. 🤷🏼‍♀️

So the Golden Comet died last night... I tried a lot of things from BYC for failure to thrive chicks and stayed up with her until she finally passed at 2am. Poor little chickie. Now the chocolate orpington is all alone and chirps constantly looking for a friend. I'm thinking of ordering a couple other day old chicks from MPC or Meyers or something to put with her. For now she snuggles asleep getting extra warm with me. My son said Im basically a broody hen :lau
