It is you who makes probably 95% of this forum want to puke, you really should learn how to show sympathy. fair enough rich people might think there above you. but tell me now if charles came to your house and saw a beautiful light sussex. what do you think his response would be??????? (OMG what a worthless poverty raised chicken) I doubt that bud he would probably comment on how nice and kept it was. you really should soften your heart because as of now I can place my beer over it and frost my mug kthxbai

Edited for typos sorry I was a little perturbed at this post.

Though I'm not a huge fan of Charles', I do think it's cool that they keep chickens and sell to an organic farmers market. And I imagine he's upset over the loss of his birds, as any of us would be. I can relate to anyone who takes pride in their birds, be it the muttliest mixed-breed backyard chicken, to the highest pedigreed, high dollar purebred.

His own birds.

Actual they are the game/animal keeper’s birds and he/she supply him with eggs. Does anyone honestly believe he tends the flock?

Had a friend ask me once,” how you like the deck I built? I knew he had no carpentry ability so questioned,”you built this”? “Well I paid for it”. There is a big difference in my book between doing something and “having it done for you”.

Glad he enjoys the eggs though.

I believe Charles got hired helpers to do some of the work. From what he has done for charity and so was his sons, they are not afraid to get their hands dirty. Sure he could tend to them but as long he enjoys them, promote the chickens (for organic eating and raising breeds/rare breeds), then I am all for it. If he can relate to the "common folks" of England, surely he does not need to have a peg knocked out of him. Surely his anger toward the losses of his birds could be felt by his workers, grounds keepers, his family and citizens of England as well as we are, his feelings are justified.
