It has begun

They are good thanks :highfive: I rehomed my two Roos at the end of the summer so it's been very quiet!! Kept 4 pullets from my last hatch as they were just not selling. I was only going to keep these two originally ~

They are so gorgeous!!

I have a new crew of golden sebrights, and have ended up with way too many boys! I'm trying to rehome them, but its not going as easily as I had hoped.

Yes keep the newly hatched chicks away from those still zipping it waiting to zip.

Had a small scare Saturday. While we were at kids basketball games, a bad storm blew thru. Snapped a power line pole. We lost power for at least 3.5 hours. Incubator temp for down to 91. Took another hour or so before got back up to 100. Hoping I didn't lose any.

Agree with the others... dividers just help with different breeds or color of eggs... though it does minimize the distance and egg can be soccer ball kicked, lol...

I also had a power outage my first hatch.  Almost 48 hours!  But I got a generator hooked up to the incubator after about 18 hours.  Was sub-zero outside, temp in the bator got down to 65.  Delayed the hatch a day or so, but still had 4 ducks and 1 turkey hatch!   I now have a generator that I can drive on to my porch, run an extension cord out, and plug in!  :D

If you do a search, there are some suggestions somewhere about things you can do if your power goes out for extended periods of time.

I want a Raven...
