This was my McMurray mystery chick, so I am assuming he

, but he is the only one of his kind, so I have nothing to compare him to. I am thinking he is a Buff Cochin, and he certainly adds color and flair to the Ameracunas, Wyanadottes, Austrolopes and Light Brahmas (although I have been calling them silver laced brahmas- but that is for another thread LOL)

here he is with some of the rest

So what is the consensus- does he live up to his name.....Crockpot!

Not a Cochin, best guess is a Buff Brahma cockeral. Knowing the age would help.

At 7 weeks, I'm guessing rooster (90% sure). If you post more pics in a few weeks I'll have a better idea of whether it's a roo or a pullet.

I love his "chaps". It's a buff Cochin and the way he's feathering in combined with the larger reddish comb makes me think cockerel. He's lovely.

I have a black cochin roo about 17 weeks, he is the friendliest roo. And has decided he likes human company more than chickens. He follows us and walks up to the house to peep into the door if we are not out

. I really hopes he stays like this.
