So, what breeds do you want?I agree with chickens really. Personally, I am getting 2 of each of the 3 breeds I want. But that's just because I want to. It really doesn't matter....
So, what breeds do you want?
I personally would not have Pekin Ducks....Leg issues and other problems are more prone with the breed...Silver Appleyard are Beauiful Ducks...Very docile...
I would....Oh really? Should I stick to just magpie and cayuga? I kind was set on pekin....
Pekins are wonderful ducks. I had some for years before I moved and when I did I left them with my sister because she loved them. They are still there happy and healthy and they are at least 6 years old now. They are very large ducks. If that is a breed you want find a breeder who knows a lot about that type and breeds for health and not quantity. Hatchery quality birds are never going to be as good as some you get from a private breeder. If longevity is a concern that might be a good option.Oh really? Should I stick to just magpie and cayuga? I kind was set on pekin....
