It is a sad world when the sound of an animal is not music to the ears. I have to admit, that was not what I said when I was reading this, I sensored. Tell them at that "meeting" that we are the care takers of all Gods creatures and so are they. I am so glad this is my peice of dirt and I was here first.

Land of the free my butt. This is the type of crap that just pisses me off. Do people have nothing better to do than to whine about other peoples pet? People just need to shut their mouth and if they don't like something do look at it. It's things like this that just tick me off. I would write a letter to the paper get the news on board and fight this to the bitter end with everything you have. And when you win tell the rest of them to kiss your you know what. Sorry to rant on like this but it just gets under my skin.

Monday at 4:30, a woman will be coming to do a video story with nikki and the ducks. A reporter from the two river times will be coming some day next week to take pics and do a story.

I'm just nervous about how the run will look it's been raining and raining, ugh, mudd and more mudd

Clean it up as much as you can, throw a bunch of shavings..something. The better it looks the better your chances of getting this approved.

thanks! I'm thinking fresh hay, i know it molds quick, so i'd take it out again, but i already use it in part of the run for the soft sleeping area. And when it's first put down it smells nice. Im also using DE, which seems to help with smell. thanks everyone!!

I think it is sad that you & your daughter had to go through such a fiasco.

As you mentioned, you can expect people to disagree with you. Respectfully disagreeing with a point of view is becoming a thing of the past. There is no excuse for the type of behavior that was displayed, especially toward your daughter.

That said, I don't think I would have had a 12 year old speaking at a council meeting...

sorry to hear that people can be so mean.You should of asked those people how they felt about there dog or cat ? I'm sure they would have said that they were like one of their children.If at least a few didn't say that , then I believe you live in a different planet,that does not have emotions or feelings .
