Ivermectin -- last resort cure for parasites?

This is the reason ivomec injectable is now ineffective against roundworms, too much use has built worm resistance. See post #38 https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=172967&p=4 Ivomec products primary purpose is a wormer. Its primary purpose has been taken out of context, it just so happens its secondary beneficial purpose is a deterent to lice/mites. http://www.jefferslivestock.com/ivomec-pour-on/camid/LIV/cp/17186/
This
is why other products should be used besides ivermectin pour on to kill lice/mites, to prevent worm resistance. The time will come when you'll need to use it to worm, then you'll be shocked to see worms again in a month or two. Myself and a few others here wont use it as a wormer anymore, dont trust it as an effective wormer no more.

Ditto on this...I fog the coop for fleas and mites and they are gone in minutes! DEAD!! Also I dip the birds except for the face. You can also spray them. Its awesome! Then I hit them or spray them 2 weeks later. Right now everytime I went to the coop I could feel fleas in my pants so I just fogged 2 nights ago and cant feel fleas not. I also spray the nest boxes and preches. Great stuff!
