My guess is no, it's likely different concentration and formulations.

I have heard of the inject-able being used in the water... but I do not know at what rate or the efficacy of doing so.

Google it up... my mother in law tells us.

No. The strength is different in each. It shouldn't be that hard to inject the dose just under the skin on the back of the neck, unless you can't find a clean needle syringe. You have the more effective product in your possession if you can find the syringe to administer it.

As far as I understand, the injectable can be used topically. See this POST by @casportpony for dosing information.
