Janoel

Number twos hatched and it has a bit of a yolk attached to her but it look like its just going to fall of does it matter? Sorry for all the posts! hows it going MisfitMarie? Im soo happy!!! :jumpy :weee

Congratulations :celebrate

If your second one has a bit of yolk left to absorb the best thing is too leave it be, hopefully it should absorb it while it's still in the incubator waiting for the others to hatch. When you do move them to your brooder just have a check of it. Make sure it clean and dry. Don't try to pull any thing as this could cause it's abdomen to come through its navel. Best of luck to you.

AWESOME, BackYardJack! I am SO excited for you! I can't wait to see pictures of your little fluff balls!

It's so funny that they come out so sticky and ugly and within hours turn into one of the most adorable things EVER...hehehe

SOOOO EXCITING!

Nothing to report on my end. As I suspected, I'm probably going to be a few days late. Upon calibrating my Janoel 48 with five different monitors before lockdown, I found out it had been running cooler.

BUT... I did QUICKLY candle today. Lots of movement in the eggs. I think they're just being little brats and keeping me in suspense. Hahaha!

I'm so happy for you, Jack! You got little fuzzzzzies!!!!

Tomorrow late evening first batch of eggs go into lockdown. Getting so eggcited!

My eggs are being brats and running late! Yours might end up hatching along with mine.

Hopefully my Araucanas are just as nice!

These eggs are in a new incubator so we will see if it has been cold or hot or dry or wet or whatever, it seems to be running very similar to our first one although goes through water heaps faster, I think last hatch I topped up water twice for the 18 days, this time I am topping it up daily as it is dry.

Right so number 4 hatched fine by him/her self but the fifth got stuck and wasn't moving so i had to assist,he is now very weak but i think hes doing fine, I will just go and take some pictures of them two that are still in the incubator drying off and getting fluffy tonight ready to go in the brooder with the other three that hatched earlier and are in the brooder thats in the shed (Its night time here) so first thing tomorrow morning i will get pictures of them!! Soo happy aha i just hope the little guy makes it through the night :)

Ohh I did an eggtopsy and number six sadly stopped growing on about day 18 i would say.

I never realised how messy hatching would be, gosh that incubator is going to need scrubbing after that mess ahaha
