JANUARY 2015 Hatch-A-Long

I've hatched a few.  Salmon Faverolles are really cute, but I personally have a hard time getting over the extra toe.  I dunno...  It just weirds me out.

That's one of the things I find so intriguing about this breed. LOL Of course, we also have a frizzled naked neck Silkie. The strange ones will fit in well here.

Got a pretty good color variety this time, and one looks to have muffs and another muffs and a beard

I'm officially locked down! Now, I just have to wait for the day after tomorrow
I think I've lost one of my Silkie eggs, but I'm not sure, so I left it. Its completely dark inside like it should be, but there weren't any veins near the air cell. Everyone else looked good though. 10 shipped EE eggs and 5 (one being questionable) Silkie eggs due to hatch on the 13th. Ugh, the waiting!

Oh, and my saddle shaped air cells have fixed themselves, is that normal? The last time I candled, the were pretty wonky. Last night when I checked them, they were all perfectly round...

can't wait to see what you get with the ee's. Let me know if you hatch a black. We've gotten 1 solid black in every hatching. (It's just for my personal record keeping with that particular too)

We lockdown in 2 days, 5 silkie, 10 ee's

Candled this morning and there was an egg that just looked kind of off. Large dark blob on the side, no movement, and the veining was missing. Eggtopsy showed it called it quits at Day 11 or 12 (today is Day 15). So now down to 31 Trader Joe's eggs....still plenty!

Carcar80... Fabulous hatch rate! Give yourself a pat on the back. What kind of incubator?
