not necessarily....you could still have a hatch by the end of day 21. just occupy yourself with other things and check in on them for progress every few hours....watching the incubator will drive you crazy!Babies will be 21 days old tonight. I'm impatient! I'm assuming that means I won't actually start seeing babies until tomorrow at the earliest. I'm really excited to see what I end up with!
I struggle to remove the turners that's why I got a second incubator for hatching after I couldn't get the turner out in the incubator I used with my first 27 shipped eggs. Years ago I had a basic 10egg incubator no turner no humidity gauges and thermometer I could barely see and had way more luck than I've had with the fancy new ones hahayes this is first time for me with 56 egg. first thing i did was have hubby help me take turners out to check hatching capability. i’m going to have new roll of grippy liner to tape in place over larger grate and edge gaps to protect them. I’m running the janoelle as overflow because 60 eggs. I have 1 tuxedo with a crack. I forgot to make sure that i had nuskin on hand so I painted it with nail polish. The rare mix looks good but still have to label and more closely inspect today. the 56-er has been running for over 12 hrs and it’s holding around 99* when set on 38.5. will calibrate today to run at 37.5. humidity reading is currently 7-10% below actual so hopefully falling too low won’t be an issue.
hoping your hatch goes well. I haven’t had a hatch yet that didn’t have a power glitch. luckily it never really hurt my overall hatch rate...it just delayed or caused a gap between hatches.![]()
Hang in there, my 1 egg from the overheat and blackout hatched today 2 days after due dateBabies will be 21 days old tonight. I'm impatient! I'm assuming that means I won't actually start seeing babies until tomorrow at the earliest. I'm really excited to see what I end up with!
We have a pip! Booger Brain (they'll get proper names when they hatch.) Poked a small hole a few hours ago! He hasn't done anything since, though. Now the wait is on.
