Wonderful! I love your names for the eggs!

ha, thank you! I really thought Gray Hair would hatch first. He's been the Angry Baby of the nest. Contented Sigh hasn't even done anything at all yet. He's a very peaceful baby. I feel like I already know their personalities a bit and they haven't even hatched!

Booger Brain put a tiny dent in the top and then hasn't done anything. I'm a bit worried. I found it when I had to take the top off for two seconds to get a huge piece of cat hair out of the container. I checked and there was no pipping, but when I took off the top I saw it. I put the top back on within ten seconds. Still worried about shrink wrapping though. I'm not sure how fiddly it can be. I'm sure he's just taking his own time and taunting me, though. He also has a bit of a temper.

I've had to unplug the incubator for about a minute earlier as well. My cat, Rue, is *obsessed* with the babies. (She thinks she's a mama chicken.) I had to move it onto a shelf where she couldn't *sit* on the incubator. She loves the eggs almost more than I do.

Luckily I'm busy today so I'm not pacing around. (You know the day before Christmas as a child? That's what it's like) I just discovered my rabbit likes cinnamon bears, cough drops and candy canes, and has apparently been hiding them around the house from me. Today has turned into deep cleaning day to find those and all the hard candies he's hoarded. The eggs have until I run out of places to check before I go chew them out for not hatching again. ;)

Big surprise today! 7am my daughter calls and she is in labour with baby number 3 so off to the hospital I go. Baby boy born at 9.33! I get home just after 12 and walk past the hatcher and hear peep peep the 1 belgian duccle egg that survived incubator overheating and then a long blackout has hatched, was due 2 days ago and I thought it must have not survived so very excited now for the 2 eggs I put in the hatcher due to hatch today or tomorrow.
:wee

CONGRATS on both babies!!
