january hatch-a-long

BABY!!! Oogity Boogity hatched! He lived up to his egg name of Booger Brain. I've had the incubator insight ALL DAY. He hatched in the thirty minutes I was away. I did, however, get to see him hit his egg at full force and launch a bit of it at the other egg. We call it castle wars.

He's still figuring out walking, and I feel terrible for him because he's trying to find mama (And thinks my cat is mama. You can hear me shush her in the video) He's been peeping for the last thirty minutes. Do they ever shush? :p

That's awesome! I just heard my first peeps over here. Wonder how much sleep I will get between the human baby and the peepers. Lol.

have fun! First the room the incubator is in will STINK from hatching! (If you've had kittens it's like that) and then the peeper won't shut up! Then you'll feel bad because you can't take him out and mother him because he'll peep and look sad. :p Worth it!

Yep. I've hatched quite a few before but been awhile since I've had to do it in my own room. It's got the most stable temperature right now due to the baby sleeping in here too. It started to smell like wet chicks yesterday, but living with my husband I have smelled worse. Lol.

I wormed yesterday and I'm setting eggs tomorrow from eggs I've collected for the last week. Chicken eggs so they'll be due January 6. I have to worm once more so I won't be setting eggs again till at least January 1.
Please explains "I have to worm". Thank you
