they are all absolutely adorable! i procrastinated the coop cleaning today because of the yucky weather so it looks like i’ll be doing that Christmas Day! I bought a small and medium quail waterer for this hatch and another 10lb feeder for the coop. hubby decided my turkeys need a few more weeks prior to processing so i have to try to get enough feed available for 2-3 days away.

Hey everyone! I started my first hatch in a second hand incubator 10 days ago .So far so good We have some obvious duds but not too bad There are 6 eggs I won in an auction 2 mosaic, 1 barbezieux, 1 ayum cemani (my husband calls them Gothic chickens),1 white Bresse, and 1 F2 EE. I also have 14 eggs that all have favorelle roo. Some are favorelle as well, others are welsummer, barred rock, black sex link, and speckled Sussex. My next hatch will hopefully be ameraucana, welsummer, whiting true blue, and cream legbar. Maybe some orphingtons.

I have turkey eggs in the bator now..... along with an assortment of chicken eggs set to hatch jan 1. I am hoping for some Nn as th as t is what my daughter wants to take to our county fair

Merry Christmas - January Hatch-A-Long peeps! Hoping I MAY join you - don't have my incubator yet & while fertile, not getting very many eggs yet either (explained in December HatchAlong)... When I start getting the eggs, will be getting A LOT!

eggs set! estimated hatch date January 8! fitting 30 quail eggs into a janoelle 12 was a bit of a challenge but all are set!

Do you have different varieties/colors? What are you doing with the quail - eggs-sell/eat; to sell; meat for you?

Where did you get the 30 quail? I think yours was the one I saw that ordered the eggs? Curious minds and all that! Looking hard at quail this year - LIKE the jumbo Coturnix, TX A&M whites, Tuxedos...

I have seven coturnix from my Thanksgiving hatch (from purely poultry) and I ordered these 30 eggs from myshire farm (available on ebay with 100% positive feedback). This is assorted colors. my quail plan is dual purpose for eggs and meat. I like that they mature so much faster than my chickens! My chickens are just now giving me a handful of eggs each week and none with enough weight for butchering yet.
