Nice, what kind of incubator do you have?As you can see I usually set big and hope for a least 1/2 to hatch.
I also spread my setting out so that I can get my stock rotated so that I have room to put them.

Hi everyone! I'm pretty new to BYC. I've been reading lots of posts, learning some new things too.
I set 13 shipped eggs in the bator last night- silkies. Tonight I bought a dozen chocolate orpington bantam eggs from an auction on here. I'll be setting those when they arrive. And I have 19 lavender orpington eggs on the way. Hopefully I will have good hatches![]()
Somhow i lost ths thread until now.Good luck to everyone
Brook sounds likr you had a nice hatch and more on the way
How are your eggs doung.
I am on day 20 with bbs orps and lockdown my next batch sunday Then im out of eggs but will have a bathroom packed solid with chicks.s in 5 brooders. Not totally sure where im going with them all
HOLY COW! XD I hatched a total of one chick.Welcome to BYC. Hatching is an addiction. I started out wanting a few egg laying chickens last July and now have over 60 chickens all under the age of 6 months...lol. There's more in the bator too.
haha! Sounds like something I would do... Except that my coop can only fit four hens, and it's not even finished being built yet. I have no idea what eggs I am getting to hatch or when... Hopefully soon...Good luck on your hatch Sticks.
Brooks, yes I agree this is addicting! I had chickens a few years back, just for eggs. Then last month my husband said it was a shame letting the old coop go to waste... That was all I needed to hearI ordered 7 Swedish Flower Hen eggs, my hubby's from Sweden & I wanted to give him a piece of home. 0 hatched! I was so upset they were doing fine until 2 wks in, then all 'quit'. Soooo, not to give up, I then ordered Isbar eggs- on the way- and ordered 10 SFH chicks, should be here any day. I ordered my personal fav. 13 silkies, 3 days in the bator... Today I got in 6 lav. orps and have another dozen on the way. But I'm most excited about the bantam choc. orps I am getting in 2 wks! I think he's wishing he had never mentioned the old coop
But my obsession has begun, so no turning back![]()
