Full list of colors/patterns available includes: golden italian, golden layer, silver/blue, charcoal, falb fee, tibetan, roux dilute, rosetta lacing, partial tuxedos, white primaries, and various combinations of the above. Pearl-fee, snowie, lavender, curly-feathered, and celadon layers coming soon!

Right now I mostly have premium young roos available, as most of my pullets from this batch are reserved. Get your new male today and inject some color into your flock! 3 week old males $5/ea. Specific photos of each available on request, just let me know what color(s) you are looking for.

I will have day-old straight run chicks and hand-selected pullets available within the next month or two so if that's what you're after please don't hesitate to contact me.

Fertile hatching eggs are always available and I can do custom collections of specific pairs. $5/dozen

Unfortunately, I am not able to ship at the moment. However, I am able to partially meet people basically anywhere from the SF Bay Area, Stockton, Sacramento, or El Dorado areas, as we drive through frequently. A small gas fee will apply to destinations far out of the way of our normal route.

A few of the current batch growing out for sale:

Beautiful birds, and if you shipped eggs I would so be in! Didn't know there was a curly-feathered coturnix. Do you have a picture?

Awww, thanks. Check back later this year/next, I'm looking into NPIP but I have to finish building my full setup.

It's a pretty rare recessive mutation but it's been described a few times. It popped up randomly in a shipped batch of eggs of mine, along with a recessive albino, also unexpected (although he wont be bred due to the health issues associated).

The interesting thing about curly is that it's the only fancy color/feather mutation described so far that's actually correlated with an *increase* in growth as opposed to the opposite, and it even overrides other genes that would normally limit growth rates. So I'm going to be playing around with it quite a bit! The juvenile is looking like a hen so far unfortunately so I've got to try and set eggs from her as soon as I can in a few months.

It's pretty subtle in the bird that I have, but I have to see if I can get some better photos of it. In the meantime, here's a study on the gene. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC555543/

This is my curly pullet (right) next to a same-colored sibling (left). It's pretty mild in her but we will see what expresses with some work.

Some more pics of the little ones. The feather sexable chicks in the 3 week old group are sexing out, younger soon to follow.

Please let me know as well when you are able to ship, these are really beautiful birds.

Thank you so much! :barnie Someday!

I should specify that I believe I can legally ship within California, although I haven't done it with poultry before and some patience would be expected on the part of the buyer.

By the time I am NPIP I should have ~fifth generation homebreds of 6 different bloodlines (currently on third), so there should be some special critters :D Those charcoals in particular as well as curly-feathereds and blue/silver/falb fee/pearl fee combinations.

Most of these guys are sold or going to be processed next week, but I'm hanging onto a few select young males longer. I have a beautiful, cleanly-colored blue/silver with white primary feathers and no tan shading, as well as the boy on the right here that will be available for a while.

I have another batch of eggs in the incubator, due in two weeks and available for reservation. Some keeper siblings to give an idea of what's coming out of these breeding groups.
