Jersey Giants thread for pictures and discussion

Well the three that had pipped have hatched :D I will get some pictures on later today, but as far as I can see no other pips (I had them lined up do I could peer through the glass, but they've played pinball with all the eggs haha). Should I leave the other eggs in for today, it is the start of day 23

Yes, leave them for a couple of days, especially if you aren't good at candling.

*update* Ive moved the 3 that hatched under my silkie, who coincidently had chicks due on a similar date to the jerseys but only hatched one so ive put them under her. But just checked the eggs and there is another pip :) a lot smaller than the others though

I have 4 JG chicks that are 2 months old now. And I am trying to figure out if I have two Roosters and two hens.
Two of them are larger and have gotten waddles and have a short rounded tail. The other two are quite a bit smaller and have more tail and the tail is pointed and no waddles yet. Can anyone let me know if I am close in my guess?
Thanks

Good morning, Giant friends! I haven't been getting my e-mail notifications, so didn't know there's been so much activity - congrats to all with new Giant chicks! YEAH! GO GIANTS!

** My next two folks on my list for hatching eggs let me know they need to reschedule due to other hatches ** I will have 24+ Giant hatching eggs to ship Monday; since it's such late notice, I'll offer them at a greatly reduced price. Anyone interested, please PM.

I have some Jersey and Jersey mixes that are coming 8 weeks old. When can I tell the sex? I have this one who is a giant blue Jersey. Never seen a chick so big. Towers over everyone with these big long thick legs. Was sure it was a cockerel, but at 8 weeks still no red in the comb and very small wattles. Pics to come.
