Final count:
12 beautiful chicks!!
There are 8 blues, 3 blacks, and 1 splash.
They are just huge!
They are taking a little longer to 'get their feet under them' than anything I've hatched before, but looking great.
Look at those fat sausage toes

I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I am, Jay.

That last egg was pipped, but got mashed by the hen.

Thanks again!

What beautiful babies Dipsy, may have to think on adding a few of those to my bunch, lol.

You won't be disappointed if you get JG eggs from Jay (Zunibee).
My pal, Debi and I both have 4 young black JG hens (nice girls that lay gargantuan eggs), but neither of us have a JG roo.
Having said I need 2 roos --- they'll prob'ly ALL be roos, lol (I'm already checking combs).

Thanks Cynthia! I'm just estatic about the hatch!
I just got off the phone with Debi ---
she's just been hit by the flu-bug and not enthusiastic about anything. She's in the middle of kidding (10 d'lings and 1 b'ling so far [yaaay, last year, the *hatch* was predominatly bucks] and 3 more girls ready to drop) and is just dogsick AND we're having weather.

Lisa,

Wow, 12 chicks out of 14 shipped eggs! That is wonderful.

I am so happy they worked out for you. My Jersey Giants are out of two very strong and popular lines and they produce some really nice, strong chicks. They say 50% blue but like you I got a much higher blue ratio.

Congratulations and thanks for the great feedback!
