Jinxed myself, actual missing duck, at least 1 injured. Any help / advice appreciated.

4 days since her surgery.
Blanca has made a compromise and tucked her bill into her back feathers.

She went through 2 bowls of sippy soup yesterday! I’ve blended peas, lettuce, mealworms, and the ORS together, and she’s liking it a lot. Still iffy about solids.

She heard the other ducks quacking this morning and has been quacking back loudly.

The vet said no to swimming due to the stitches (some of them are dissolvable), and agreed she shouldn’t walk around too much.

She looks good! She’s a lucky duck to have you

Look at her go! I’ve seen her do a few short preens, but no full body ones until now. Trying to make sure she doesn’t touch her incision too much.

It was definitely a hawk. I see hawks flying through here every day, it’s miraculous that this is the first time one has attacked. I’m very glad my birds had their pond; The hawk had a hard time following and left once everyone fled to the water.

I brought Cherry in to see Blanca today. They were both very interested. Blanca was flirting a bunch and trying to fight me for being near her boyfriend Silly girl.

Yes! I love observing their behaviors and relationships It’s fun, but can also be useful, like in this situation; I know who Blanca needs to make her feel better.
