Sorry I accidentally submitted the responce too early. But what I was going to say is don’t I need specific proof that the chicken is a “therapy” pet. How would I be able to make that because I’m sure no doctor or vet would just randomly sign something without proofUsually people who need a therapy animal use a dog but they are not limited to a dog. Therapy animal are used for a number of things such as panic attacks and for diabetics I'm told before they have an episode of blood sugar going bad. I've heard about the blood sugar but I have no evidence of it as I have not needed and not researched it. I know of on person that does use a dog for panic attacks. I see specially outfitted harnesses on dogs in big box stores from time to time. Usually there is a sign on the dog requesting that no one is to pet the dog.
There is enough information on this page to start the exploration of an animal for mental support. If a doc signs off on it the County has to allow it.
