We are just starting our flock again, we had jubilee before but moved so they all got rehomed.

My problem is that we free range everyone and I don't want to sell mix breed and take away from the hard work that's been put into both colors (the mottled and the jubilee) so we have to settle on one color and since the mottled are a few weeks older I think we will be sticking with them.[/QUOTE

2 more hatched this morning for a total of 3. For my first hatch i was thrilled and learned a ton! The rooster is buff orpington crossed with a red sex link. We will see how they turn out. Already collecting eggs for a second hatch.

Ha! I still have 11 due to hatch next week and then I'm taking a break! It's stressful!

Welp, i'm getting on the hatching train this month, but they'll probably hatch in the first week of august if I get everything together.

I bought a humidity and temp monitor, and im a bit concerns, as I was told to store eggs pre incubator at 50 degrees F, it's 70 in the house, im not sure where to store them unless I take them in my room and blast a fan at them to get the temp down.

I store mine at room temperature and our thermostat is set to go up to 77 during the day while we aren't home (I'd set it higher but we have pets). They will be fine at 70, just don't set them somewhere where they will be in sunlight.

Officially day 20 y'all! I candled before lockdown and everyone was moving around. When should I expect to start seeing some action?

It's been YEARS since I've hatched anything and can't remember if the action starts on day 20 or day 21.
