Hi from Ga. I have 12 Ameraucan's due on the 29th, I have 12 Lavender Orpingtons due on the 30th, and I have 40 due on 8/1/ the 40 are Questionable they were delayed in the mail.

Mrs. Fluffy, is that a picture of a Nankin at the left there? Pretty bird. I hatched some Nankins. I gave the roo and a couple of hens to someone that will breed them. They are soo sweet.​

Are you talking about the bird in my avatar? If so, that is Honey, one of my 3 Serama hens.

I've seen Nankins, they're a very stylish looking breed, never seen one in person. Do you have any pictures of the ones you used to have?

Here's one of my Nankins...still small..she has black on her, my other doesn't have as much, but what a sweetheart. Got the eggs from a guy here on BYC. I have to post twice..not good at this posting pictures..but want you to see my other girl..I kept this girl here.

I've heard that the Seramas came from these birds. The Nankins are a true bantam. I could be wrong..but think that's what I read.

Yes, Nankins are a TRUE bantam variety, along with D'uccles and I'm not sure what else.

The 2nd Serama hatched!!

Bugzy is very jealous and started pecking the new chick so I had to pick her up and put her in my overall pocket and carry her around all evening...she loved it.

Infact, I hear her screaming for me now, gotta fly!

Ha, you need to go to the "You're a crazy chicken person if.." thread...post that one....putting the chick in your overall pocket..I think someone said they put theirs in their apron pocket because it was a bit chilly. Fun thread..pictures of painted chicken toenails.
