Wellllll looks like I probably will be joining this one as well. The chicks and ducklings that I ordered (2 MONTHS ago to be prepared) are now apparently unable to be shipped. 🤦‍♀️ So now I’m getting hatching eggs instead from there, although I’m not 100% sure I think that’s going to be any better... I’ve been getting a weirder and weirder vibe from every new interaction. Needless to say, I’ll be ordering only from the other hatchery from now on... 🙄 anyway. So now I’ll have more Indian runner eggs, some magpie ducks, cuckoo silkie, and Icelandic eggs coming. It just sucks cuz I was expecting ducklings next week so I could sell my 2 extra and not leave my lonely keeper by himself; instead, he’ll be rooming with the sebright chicks. No drama with those kids. They’re so chill. Lol. But now I’ll have to go through the whole integration thing 2 more times instead of once with these new ducklings. 🤦‍♀️ I was really planning my last hatch to be the quail. Lol.

YAY!!!!!!

So my June Wheaten Marans hatch was a bit of a flop. Lots died right toward the end and I am not sure why. We only ended up with 3 and maybe a 4th (major assist - waiting for blood vessels to absorb) and my friend wanted more than that. So I get to keep the Wheaten Marans and try again. Just ordered some Birchen Marans for them and a combo deal of Birchen Marans eggs and Opal Legbar eggs for me. They will more than likely be an early July hatch.

Like a test run? I guess I've been fortunate that my nr360 instructions addressed lockdown from the beginning. It is a good thing to figure out ahead of time as much as possible, but mine doesn't run the same empty as it does with eggs in it.
I think a lot of first-time incubaters are too eager to get those eggs cooking that they don't take the time to get to know the incubator first. Every machine is different, so getting to know their personal one is key for a smooth incubation. Good preparation saves a lot of trouble!

Yes. You should run your incubator for at least a week before putting in any eggs. That’ll give you time to see what the humidity does and the temp does. Knowing your incubator will give you a great hatch rate and less chances of DIS chicks.

Anyone else have delays right now on shipped eggs? I sent bielefelders and welsh harlequin duck eggs, both of which sat for days in warehouses somewhere probably with my turkey eggs which are also late with no estimated delivery date. Kind of weird that they all would be late at the same time.

What a bummer! I actually got lucky and my eggs arrived overnight in the last delivery.

I had 1 delay back in May, but none recently. I have had 4 shipments of eggs extremely poorly handled recently though. When I went to file my claim on my last set of eggs there was a notice to expect delays due to the rioting. Hopefully they get to you soon and they arrive in good shape! :fl :fl :fl
