You won’t regret quail... well unless you don’t have the right space... then you might regret them because they start fighting like crazy especially males. I have yet to experience this with mine.
Are they really as easy to process as it looks like?
I watched a video that went from the head off and dipping into hot water stage, to fully cleaned, plucked (rubbed) and ready to cook or freeze in like 3 minutes flat!
Of course we'd need about 4 or 5 per meal, but wow...those looked easy!

I haven’t butchered any yet, but I will be soon. I’m going to weed out my current quail to only the ones I want breeding for offspring. I don’t think I even have any males yet
