I forgot to add...

For the past 3 days I haven’t seen my bantam gold laced polish. My husband spotted her in thorn bushes yesterday (in the run) sitting on eggs. He said she has 9.

There were 3 she pushed from the nest and my husband said they smelled. She is so smart with hatching!

I have no idea what day she is on right now. We should have more Polish Deathlayers or Polish Brahmas or Booted Polish soon.

Elvis my booted bantam has really won over a lot of the ladies. He’s always singing (crowing) at me. He follows me everywhere, I absolutely love him.

I‘m going to try to hatch eggs that are not shipped. We are driving to get some Bielefelders today. Out of 18 shipped eggs only 1 hatched! :barnie A little rooster. He seemed very little compared to the barred rocks that hatched 2 weeks before. I’m hoping for better luck! I’ve got some cream leg bars and 3 black copper Marans in now. They are also shipped. We shall see!

My one and only surviving golden crele legbar. That hatch was a disaster. The other 2 eggs that actually developed (out of 11) had weird stuff- the first one had membrane wrapped around behind its neck that cut off the yolk, maybe when it turned in the egg? That one was DIS. The other started to hatch and needed assistance only for me to find that it was having trouble because it’s upper beak was half the length of the bottom, and it had no eyes. :( poor thing. I culled it right away. So I’m left with this one, who has splayed legs that we’re now dealing with. 🤦‍♀️ Still have d’uccle, red jungle fowl, silkie, Icelandic, Red Orpington, croad langshan, and barred rock eggs (mystery box) in the incubator, along with runner duck eggs in the other. xD oh, and the single magpie duck egg that was sent cracked.

I'm so excited! I finally got my Lavender Mottled English Orpington eggs! This will be my last hatch for the year (probably)! Lol

Some are still a bit small, pullet eggs, but I have 13 eggs and my fingers crossed! This will be the first hatch from this flock. There are actually Lavender, Black, and Chocolate Mottled hens under a Lavender Mottled rooster. so we'll see what I get!

BUT I decided to wait to set them until this morning instead of last night so that I will hopefully avoid them hatching all through the night again, lol. I just filled out my calendar and it looks like my hatch date will be August 1st so I just missed the deadline! Oops!

I hope everyone's hatches are going well!
